Following the publication of this article [1], readers drew to our attention that part of the data was unreliable: Figures of this article appeared in other articles (by totally different authors). The authors were requested to provide the raw data and were also asked for an explanation to account for these concerns, however, the Editorial Office hasn’t received any reasonable reply. Recently, the Corresponding author Dr. Weizhong Tang sent an email to the journal office: ‘The first author Qiuhuan Zhang admitted including me as the corresponding author in the paper without my agreement. I was unaware of this study until after publication. Actually, I never knew that my postgraduates or fellows had studied MicroRNA-24 or DND1 in my team. Otherwise, email of the corresponding author in this article TMurphybiff@yahoo.com was not used or authorized by me at all. My institutional email is tangweizhong@gxmu.edu.cn, and it has been used in all of my publications for several years. Therefore, I am applying for a retraction of this article.‘. Meanwhile, we completed the investigation and found that some of the data in this article was unreliable. Given all above, we decided to retract this article. Authors were informed of the retraction. We thank the readers for bringing this matter to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.
